ILLINOIS WATER AND POWER
Get Involved: Illinois Water and Power calls for leadership from both the private and the public sectors.

United States Water and Power is a small organization with a big idea. The idea is that water and power technologies, policies and practices should be environmentally sustainable by definition. U.S. Water and Power applies that same definition on a state-by-state basis including Illinois Water and Power.

Clean water, clean energy and consumer support is our goal. We emphasize energy efficiency because after all, the cleanest watt is the watt never used. We emphasize clean energy production, such as solar and wind, to protect the environment and develop greater U.S. energy independence. We advocate water use efficiency and conservation not only because of water scarcity in much of the country but also because the transport and treatment of water is so energy intensive. To save water saves energy and protects the environment. Finally, supporting the average consumer is also an important goal of U.S. Water and Power. Coordinated conservation and efficient use of water, gas and electricity is a winner for the pocketbooks of consumers everywhere. U.S. Water and Power is developing a Water and Power brand which defines environmental and economic sustainability. Join us in building a better future and lend a hand in creating Illinois Water and Power.
